I am mourning my mentor, friend and inspiration Mr. Brown. He is resting after a very long and successful completion (with honors) of his mission and orders from on high. Well done. A follower of the "Christ" who went home on the day we celebrate as the birth of Jesus.
All my personal and private time and performances with, "The God Father Of Soul" I will cherish for ever. The wisdom that he deposited within me I will continue to study and carry on. In his honor I will never stop utilizing the gifts of music and performance and continue to harness the power of music as an agent of change and responsibility.

Amen, I grew up knowing one of his lifelong backup singers, Ms. Martha (Harvin) High of Virginia. Her two sons and daughter lived on my road, so we have been lifelong friends and neighbors. Saw & met the GodFather of soul many times. My mother was a great fan of his and they met often also. He defintely was the GodFather of Soul and to us his Fans. May he rest in peace and soul knowing he accomplished his Godly Mission.
