Great message.

It would absolutely be a blessing if our Troops could go there and help them with food and any other need that they may have.

It really aches my heart to see those images, but at the same time, realize how bless we are and we have to learn how to stop complaining about the little things, because someone somewhere else always is in a tougher situation than we are.

Pray for them!!!

Hi MC Hammer. I saw you on Hannity's America last night and I thought it was a great respectful debate. I really admire people that can disagree on so big an issue and still be completely civil.

Anyway, God bless and take care.

I was quite impressed by your ability to eloquently voice your opinion about the war without becoming angry, or provoking Hannity to demonize and condemn you. I've thus learned that you are quite the gentleman.

Although I too supported the Iraq invasion in 2003, I regretted it after about one year. I understand the importance of leaving Iraq with a stable government, but feel that after the troop surge (which I also supported), there will be little more we can effectively do to stabilize the region. Around September, we should begin sending our boys home.

God bless, seriously

Hammer:

I have to credit you for the tone of your video and your performance on the Hanity show the other night. In disagreement we don't need to be disagreeable.

While the war is no doubt bloody and people are dying I don't believe that the "war will end" simply by removing the US troops from the land called Iraq.

This has been an asymmetric war. I am not talking about the relative strength of the USA and its weapons against the Iraqi insurgents. I am speaking of the EXPECTATIONS placed on either side. While the actions of this nation is throughly monitored throughout the world, the people we are fighting are able to blow up anything and anybody they please without suffering a hint of criticism by the same individuals who are damning the USA.

The war will end when the world finds the courage and clarity to begin to ask ALL SIDES who are doing the killing to be accountable for their actions and to put their actions into the big picture of the ultimate desired outcome in the country.

Please keep in mind that the Federal troops occupied the post-Civil War South for 12 years after the conflict ended. Political pressure forced their withdraw. Our ancestors caught hell for more than 75 years after this action with all of the Black elected officials summarily being driven out of office. I am able to draw upon at least enough of a parallel to see that the INNOCENT PEOPLE OF IRAQ deserve a government of their own choosing and to be protected from their own brand of "Confederate Terrorists" who seek to have their own way with the masses.

If you think that our troops are suffering despite their being equiped with the latest weapondry, just imagine the fact of the average Iraqi who has his life threatened simply by taking a government job.

I was unware that you were on Hannity's America. Can this be viewed on youtube? Do anyone have a copy of the debate?

I would like to know why there is not so much video and concern that over 45,000 americans have been killed in their own country after 9/11 by illegal immigrants. Why is there no cnn news brief with the faces of those innocent americans, or music videos, or rallies?

I have now served just under 7 years in the United States Air Force. I appreciate where you are coming from on this topic. Yet want you to know that the job over there isn't done yet. My best friend has now served 3 tours there and he too has the same feelings I do. War is just that...awful. We just need to win and not give up. Don't give up Hammer we are more than in this fight. We will win, this enemy will not defeat us. We didn't become the greatest nation by running. We have been through a lot from the time we were born as a nation yet each time we pulled through, because thats what Americans do. We never give up, we never surrender no matter the consequence or the size of our enemy we will have victory and we will always be free!

I have to say, i just saw Bring Our Brothers Home, and you have outdone yourself. I don't like rap, I never have, but I have never seen a more beautiful tribute to our soldiers. I hope he listens, I did.

My friend and I were recently talking about the prevalence of technology in our day to day lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as memory gets less expensive, the possibility of copying our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could see in my lifetime.
