I treasure my right to vote. I despise those who take my vote for
granted. The issues that my community continue to face, (violence,
poverty, incarceration, no hope, unemployment, access, education,
digital divide..etc) are issues that will be "party breakers" in 2008.

I treasure my right to vote as well. People died and fought for our right to vote and I don't take it for granted.

Total joy, in the american people voting in half a liberal government!!
Total joy, in the american people, voting in it's first Muslim! It shows a step in the direction of a multi-cultural understanding and perception in future government!!
Total joy, in the american people, voting in it's first woman to the House of Speakers! It shows, that the dominance of men ruling nations, are becoming a fading "way" to co-exist as beings.

I did my duty last week. Not that happy with some of the results but that's just one excuse I have to actually get involved in the process.
