Praying Still!! HammerTime

I love seeing the many lives whom I had the pleasure to bring into my world and be a blessing to them...We traveled the world together and brought joy to millions across the globe. I will always love the Hammer Dancers and crew. The great memories are priceless.

Can not imagine no comment on this video. I thought MC Hammer was an exceptional talent. I wish he was still performing. I think it is room for all types of rap, good and not so good. Peace.

Psh, Hammer was the original pop rapper. If anything, Smith stole his sound from Hammer, not the other way around...

In many cases a person who prays regularly may give more thought to her/his action than the average person who neglects that discipline. Its about humbly recognizing our limitations. You certainly are free to disagree, but why be so angry at this outlook?

Hey BigDerril,

You might have noticed that the internet is home to some of the most atheistic people on this planet. Let them say whatever they want. This is a good song and video. I've always loved the Hamma. I pray every day to God. Share the love!

This song is still very valid in today's world. This is what he went back to after his music career, right back to his roots preaching and praying and loving God. The Hamma is a good man behind all that show and hype. If I ever met him I'd shake the man's hand and tell him thanks for giving hope to millions.

I don't like the Christian message being pounded into this song, but those dance moves are awesome! Oh and the Prince sample is dope, niiiiiiiiice!
(Reply) (Spam)

MeepMeep255 (3 months ago) Marked as spam
a christian message is WAY better than the message all the other songs are pushing. it's hard to find a song that dosen't have some message of sex, drugs, drinking, or violence in it. and this one is fun!!
(Reply) (Spam)

mastersan6 (2 months ago) Marked as spam
well, ya know, fucking is easy. Getting high is easy. Getting wasted is easy. But being Christian? That's hard. No, it's more than hard. It's REBELLION!!1

Anyway... the song... I really hate the sampling of "When Doves Cry".

Yeah, I'm a Prince fan.

I wish the man would come back to us and lead us into the next era of loving rap. This is clearly a man who cares about people and the community around him. I love him and I miss him. I wish he would come back to us. I don't care how much debt he may have gone through. The black community needs him. This country needs him and the whole world. Here is a man who has something to give. Just compare him to someone like Michael Jackson. That poor man has completely lost touch with reality.

You know i was about 9 years old . YOung wild and very ignorant. I used to dance to this song without understanding the significance of the lyrics. Im listening to it for the first time in about 18 years and im feeling a little humbled right now. I wish todays rappers would follow this guys ideas. Im also reminded of Kanye west when i see this video.

rap used to sound so good back then.. even before mc hammer period...

erick b and rakim(rakim is the best rapper ever)
big daddy kane
and others in the 80's

rap today is a bunch of garbage that make any sense. Today is a group of clowns with gold in their mouth and cant speak a word of English.

i was like 7 8 0r 9 when this came out. but hip-hop was very wide open when it came to videos like this and nobody had a problem with it. but when kanye west comes out with jesus walks then the media has a problem. so like i always say the media doesnt wanna see nobody make it. so fcuk da media

as much as people put him down and dissed him, hammer was one of the only rappers to really give to the community, and he really help put hip-hop/rap into the main stream. if it wasn't for hammer rappers today wouldn't be selling millions of records.

alxdava (1 month ago) Marked as spam
the rap from 80's and early 90's was about problems of comunity in all aspects.
now we have just luxury cars, big houses and bitches that make you think that all the problems are disepeared. this is the difference today. the songs are talking about life of few houndred persons not of the rest of us.
And Yes, Hammer was great and still is.

I don't care what people say about Hammer. I think he's very talented and great at what he did. As far as him being a sellout? First, he never sold in, and second, the same rappers that called him that name, were the ones who sold out. I couldn't imagine anybody turning down a million dollar deal because they refuse to go pop. I wouldn't.

Hammer,

Just like you speak in your video "We need to Pray just to make it today." Not a day goes by that I don't pray.

God is good and all the time God is Good.

God Bless

Again: memories and inspiration.

Faith without works is barren. God is love and love is God in action. I am quite positive God's love surrounded those that participated in the rally in Jena LA on the 20th. Now that they are gone the White Supremasts are busy with their nooses and death threats.

Pray for the Jena families safety, but also take action to pressure the government to right the injustice.
