Sundance is over/final pics and thoughts

This has been a productive and eye opening trip. Sundance is a well
oiled machine. Filmmakers are a different cut of society. I really enjoyed
the interaction with studios, directors, producers, PR and etc.. Without
all the fanfare and Hollywood plastic attitudes. This is business and
relaxation in the mist of a tranquil garden. The action of "see and buy"
at all hours of the night is amazing. Right up my alley. This will be
annual right of passage for me and my wife.

Hammer. Big fan. But is that your Hummer? If so, you should really consider getting something different. Those things are horrible for the environment.

If it's not. Well, then, we're cool.

Dear MC, I always enjoy viewing the photos and your thoughts about your experiences and travels in your music, and personal family life.

You are a rare iconic celebrity, whom even converses with online fans.. and for that small action of "connectiveness" to the higher power of "One" I thank YOU!!

with loving kindness,

Note to commenters: being environmentally thoughtful myself; I'd just like to interject, that celebrities such as MC, would have need, of the utmost best security vehicle, for himself and his wife and children.

I suppose, from my perspective anyway; I cannot fathome, the depths to security measures they must take, in this very trouble society all around each one of us, no matter our geographic or status locations, must always bear in mind.

But, I do have an experience, where I was an activist years ago, for disabled lone women and their children, the disabled, the un-employables, and the aged; all these groups, the most vulnerable in society...the impoverished among us.

For many years, I advocated for myself and for them.. on the atrocities of social, safety-net programs, which fall here in Canada; for me personally--30% below poverty levels.

My sons left kidney went atrophic(shut down)by age: 13, and so did my stomach; as the government decided to force me(many of us) to re-educate, at age: 41-43..while enduring these events, plus the existing disabilities at the time.

To make a very long story short; I began to recieve threats. I was told, because I am "tiny" and surrounded by dense bush; it would be easy to "pick me up, and bush-wack me."

I had to call my sons school; I called police. There was no rescue..only further loss's of friends, fearing for themselves. NO jobs, because of security.

I lost everything and everyone.

Now, I am 50, bankrupt, son off to college, with inept equipment.. if I were a dog, I'd receive "mercy" for my existing physical suffering alone.

So, anyway... I had to stop advocating. I am on dead-end street, with NO respect, nor support. No help, no security. I am at the mercy, of a community, which did not protect me, nor do they want "us" near.

It is so easy, to choose a word, to display our perception, but one must remember the old saying:

"do not criticize another, unless you walk a mile in their shoes."

with loving kindness, I hope I made some helpful points, about the difference between lavishness, and safety precautions?
